In 2015, the committee, with the guidance of a university academic, have held a number of events at the Rockingham campus of Murdoch University. These events involved guest speakers who discussed the ups and downs of the path to success. These provided the attendees with an opportunity to network with like-minded peers, exchange ideas and viewpoints and recognise their worth.
The events also provided an important bridge between industry and academia. The attendees of the events have been as diverse as the speakers, including local students and employees as well as young people from outside the region that work locally.
Building on the foundations of 2013, the Young Professionals committee hope to hold a number of exciting events in 2015, including the introduction of workshops and increased networking opportunities. As ever, the Young Professionals are looking to reach out to as many interested young people as possible and are now offering the opportunity for those interested to become active members of the group.
