The Clontarf Foundation exists to improve the education, discipline, life skills, self-esteem and employment prospects of young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander men and by doing so equips them to participate meaningfully in society. The Gilmore Clontarf Academy is a Year 10 – 12 program designed to attract and retain Aboriginal male students and have them embrace more disciplined, purposeful and healthy lives. Although not a sporting program, it uses football as a way in attracting Aboriginal boys to school.
